Getting Serious About School Reform with Dr. Robert Marzano
The network of Educational Service Districts has entered into a 3 year partnership with Marzano Research Laboratories. Throughout this project, all nine ESDs are working to build capacity around Dr. Marzano's "Three Commitments", which, when fully implemented, are proven to improve student learning. The collective ESD system is creating resources like grade appropriate, suggested academic vocabulary in science and mathematics; and rubrics for assessing student learning, tied to Washington's learning targets.
This May, Dr. Marzano will be in our region presenting for two days on the process of developing systems of individual feedback for students.
