Substitute Applications No Longer Being Accepted

At the last Public Schools Personnel Cooperative Advisory Committee meeting held on January 22, 2010, it was discussed and decided by our districts using our substitute services to no longer accept substitute applications at this time.  This includes both certified and classified applicants.

There are only two expections that will be allowed:

  • We will accept classifed applications for the Head Start/ECEAP program.
  • We will accept certificated teachers that recently completed their student teaching within one of our member substitute districts.

The substitute process for the food service, custodial/maintenance, and transportation departments will not be affected by this change.  The decision was based on the high number of substitutes currently on the substitute list.  The Advisory Committee will re-evaluate the situation in mid March.  Thank you.
